You can help a dog smile again!
When we receive our dogs they're usually in very poor shape. Our dogs are rescued domestically from the US and abroad from Mexico. Most of these poor little guys and gals have been abandoned by their masters, mistreated, starved, or diseased. In Mexico especially, homeless dogs are typically left in some of the worst conditions imaginable and end up dying of starvation or disease. This is why we have taken a stand and why we choose to help.
We are proud of the care we provide our dogs! Our rescue is located in rural Clark County where our dogs have a healthy and clean environment to live during their care and before adoption. We have large grassy areas for them to play and socialize with other dogs all day! Click here to see where we keep our dogs!

All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, given their shots, and receive a full check up for any ailments. Our dogs can have diseases when we find them, but we pay for their treatments to ensure that our adoptions are healthy and happy. Some dogs may need special care if they have a chronic illness, but we are diligent about telling our adopters about any issues we find.

We believe that good nutrition is important for dogs, so we feed our mutts a healthy mix of nutrition for their specific situation. Whether they are recovering from vet treatment, playing hard all day, or if they are less active, we work to ensure our dogs receive the right food. We buy feed for our dogs, but also gladly accept food donations.

Not all of our dogs are adopted right away. To ensure their long-term health and well-being of our mutts, we work with Dr. Erich Bargar at Orchard Hills Animal Hospital in Washougal, Wa. and Companion Pet Clinic 211 NE Crestwood, Vancouver, WA. Our dogs receive their regular check-ups and proper care while at Mostly Mutts Rescue. This does come at great expense so if you would like to help contribute to the ongoing care of a rescue dog just follow the link.
